WHAT IS DENTAL PROSTHETICS?
RESTORING TEETH BY FIXED WORKS:
veneers, dental crowns and bridges, as well as by mobile or retractable works: total or partial prosthesis, skeleton prosthesis with special systems, prosthesis on implants.
When, for various reasons, the tooth is missing a portion that cannot be replenished by root canal (filling), or the teeth walls are too thin to withstand the mastication pressures, it is necessary to cover the tooth with a crown.
Moreover, when a tooth or more teeth is / are missing from the arch, the edentation can be treated with a bridge. The peripheral teeth are covered and the edentation space is replaced with a crown to restore the lost physiognomy and functionality.
When the patient loses a large number of teeth and for various reasons they cannot be replaced by fixed works such as bridges or implants, mobile prosthetic works, prostheses to be removed for sanitizing after each meal are used.
